Kitesurf Spot Punta Umbria – Huelva
A city surrounded by water, with a good gastronomy, a good atmosphere, ideal place for kitesurfing, Surfing, Paddle Surfing and windsurfing, makes Punta Umbria flagship of water sports.
Punta Umbria has three main spots: La Canaleta, La Ria and El Camaron but in the summer months you can only sail in La Canaleta.

Winds with which you can practice:
-Poniente Wind(West – Southwest): 80% of the winds that enter this coast are of the west with predominance of the south. They are very stable winds and of great nobility, that with little habituality surpass the 22Kt. These winds normally fall into the gusts from autumn to spring and in summer with térmics.
Rider level: Low / High for the Channel and the Medium / High Camaron for La Ria.
Styles: Freeride, Freestyle in all being The Camaron and La Canaleta the favorite for the Wave.
-Levante Wind(East – Southeast): The conditions for wind between this direction is that there is a very strong rise in the strait reaching this beach almost south.
The times of the year that can occur are usually from spring to autumn. But there are few occasions in which they are fulfilled.
Rider level: Low / High for the Channel and the Medium / High Camaron for La Ria.
Styles: Freeride, Freestyle in all, being The Camaron and La Canaleta the favorite for the Wave.
-Northwest Wind:
The direction of the wind is good to navigate in all the Spots of Punta Umbria but it does not give us the security of strength and direction since it usually enters very oscillating getting to be gusting by moments and with danger of changing to North. Even so we will not be left without navigating and being able to do it in the star spot for these conditions: The Ria, navigating the width of her.
Rider level: High.
Style: freeride and freestyle.
-Northeast Wind: There is only one spot suitable for this wind in Punta Umbria and it is the Ria. Cracked and sailed winds facing the shore.

Leisure area:
The Mosquito Club, located in La Canaleta, is a must for its good atmosphere, concerts, alternatives for the whole family. It also has the Mosquite club in the School of sailing and water sports NORAX where you can join to enjoy a sailing with the locals and continue with the kitesurf.
Alternatives to Kite:
The Norax school has a large team of professionals to teach kitesurfing, surfing, paddle surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran and Catalan skating. It also has equipment for rent and activities school for children.
